falling in love with handmade.

I have been busy this week, man o man. It seems like fall is really gearing up here and sales are reflecting it. But I haven't been too busy to look a
round Etsy and Artfire and find some of my favorite items that are perfect for fall.

These gorgeous earrings are made with crystal and aged brass and are bound to be the prettiest acorns on the block. Simple and elegant, I think these would make a great accessory for any autumn wardrobe. You can find these wonderful dangling acorn earrings in ellejewel's shop for only $13.75.

Another thing I love about fall is bringing out the cold weather wear. This gorgeous scarf is bursting with fall color and looks so snuggly and warm. It's perfect for women or men, and you can find it in loriloom's etsy shop on sale this weekend for $32.

And finally, you can't have fall without having a spicy candle that captures all the scents of the season. Pumpkin, apples, cinnamon, and more, I love this time of year when I can find an abundance of wonderfully spiced, warm scented candles that can just warm me up with one whiff of their delicious scent. Blisscandles has many assorted fall scented candles available in your shop for very affordable prices, like this 16 oz candle for $34.

fall makeover.

September is here and fall is coming! Broken Hallelujah is getting ready.

Both the Etsy & Artfire shops have gotten a make over to reflect the changing seasons. Changes have also come to the Broken Hallelujah fan page on Facebook. Lovely new fall oranges, blues, reds, and greens are taking over!

Plus there are lovely new fall accessories in the shop with more coming soon. Scarflettes, hats, and of course my mary jane slippers are perfect for keeping you warm and fashionable this fall. With these quality, one of a kind items, you are sure to make a statement on campus, in the office, or out with your girl friends.

Stop by the shops (Etsy or Artfire) today and see all that is new with Broken Hallelujah accessories!

can you feel it?

Can you feel it in the air? Autumn is coming!

Okay, perhaps you can't feel the crisp evenings coming quite yet, but I can bet many of us are wishing for the cooler temperatures and warm, comforting foods that accompany the season change.

Autumn is on the horizon, though. Soon it'll be time for kids to go back to school, ripe crisp apples, and changing leaves. I've been working hard to get my shops ready for the upcoming season change. New hats, scarves, scarflettes, and more are coming to help keep everyone stylish and warm this fall. I am working on some new designs as I type in great colors and luxurious fibers like merino wool, angora, silk, and more!

I'm also beginning to take custom orders for the holiday season. It may seem early, but it's wise to order far ahead of time to ensure I can get the order finished in plenty of time for the holidays. If you are thinking of ordering anything custom, please think about doing it soon. Custom orders are first come, first serve.

In the mean time enjoy the rest of the hot summer days ahead of us. And keep your eyes here for an upcoming fall giveaway!

falling into place.

School has definitely been taking a toll on me lately. Test after test after test. It's been a never ending cycle that is finally approaching the end.

In good news, though, I think the Christmas sale season has kicked in because I've been making a sale on etsy almost every day for the past week. It's been a welcome extra "burden" on the plans finding a few couple minutes to package up these slippers send them out to their new homes. So it looks like things are falling into place both in the realms of etsy and school as both things pick up and begin to lead to exciting new places (with a little more money in my pocket to spare).
Still no sign of autumn here, but the my favorite movie season has begun to pick up. One of my favorite things to do is keep up with movie news and when Oscar season rolls around I get a little more excited for all the great new movies that are soon to be coming out. Next week I already have several movies I want to see including the new Keira Knightley movie The Duchess. I've been trying to keep up with the trailers for new movies, too. Some of the ones I've seen recently that look like they should make good movies are The Soloist (I'm a huge Joe Wright fan), Australia, and Milk. Maybe I'll get around to posting some of my thoughts on these movies when they come out.
Hope everyone is having a spook-tacular October!

fall.

The mornings are finally getting a little bit cooler here. Means fall must be around the corner. I say it's about time. Needless of the weather, my fall decorations have been out since mid-September. Unfortunately it's not time to bring out the long sleeves yet.

for the fashionista in you.

These slouchy berets seem to be popping up on celebrity and fashionista alike, and I have to admit that I do like the style. I had some extra cotton yarn lying around in a wonderful brick red color and decided to try my hand at crocheting a fashionable beret of my own.

I am quite fond of how it has come out. It's a wonderful bright color for fall and winter and since it is 100% cotton it is soft with a nice amount of stretch to fit on your head.
But I'm not keeping this fun beret for myself, so it's available now in my shop! It makes the perfect, stylish addition to any wardrobe for this fall. You can even jazz it up and make it unique by adding a fun pin. Hopefully I'll have the time to make a couple more of these. If there's a color you'd love to see drop me a note.

wishing for fall.

It is still very hot here, but that only makes me wish for the cooler temperatures that accompany fall. It truly is one of my favorite seasons. We finally get a reprieve from the crushing, unforgivable temperatures of the summer, the trees start to turn beautiful shades of red, yellow, and brown, and it brings with it one of my favorite holidays: Thanksgiving. (Not to mention, my birthday is also in the fall.)

With school starting in a very short time, I know fall will be here before I know it bringing all the wonderful things I mentioned above along with the chaotic schedule accompanying the college lifestyle and my final semester in college.
So to commemorate my favorite season of the year, I crafted these wonderful variegated Falling for Fall Mary Jane slippers. The vibrant hues capture the entire essence of fall while also providing your toes with a warm hideaway from the cooler temperatures soon approaching. They are available now in the shop along with all my other mary jane slippers
